This! even if you're not a starwars fan give it a try (there's barely any lightsaber and force stuff in it) , it's mainly just a hero's journey about a rebellion against Authoritarianism

Andor S1 + S2 + Rogue One. Great Trilogy (or Quadrilogy with SW:EP1)

Afterwards you can jam out to this banger!

can confirm 70c tracked for signing up the 4.99 plan, thanks

    A shame it's not a 4K plan.

  • anything worth watching on disney plus?

    • The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives has been wildly scandalous so far (i love trash okay 🫣)

      • With ESPN now you can watch the NBA finals live!

  • So, I should cancel my plan now and then resubscribe sometime before the 11th ?

    • Curious about the same, I assume there will be some sort of stand down period?

    • No harm in trying, worst case scenario you’ll just pay what you’re already paying

Yeah you're right - I've cancelled pending the end of my cycle june 4th. then I can click around after that to see if I can get the offer.

        • Looks like the offer is ready and waiting, I can resubscribe next Monday (or if the kids decide they've earned some disney this weekend)

looks like my $1.50 Prime will finally have a mate in my tv app for 4 months.

Probably not for everyone but thought I did share if anyone is interested. I recently signed up for free Stremio(stremio.com) app + Real Debrid(real-debrid.com) ($17 for 90days) using this setup guide(reddit.com) and am really happy with all streaming services (Netflix, hulu, hbo, prime, disney+ & more) movies & tv shows I can watch on it. Stremio app is available on most of the platforms and it does sync between devices. There are add-ons as well to add more content. Hopefully this might be useful to someone.

I even took it a step further and linked RealDebrid with overseerr & Plex. This way I now don't need to download anything. I add things to watch on Overseerr, which gets picked up by Realdebrid backend services and it gets populated on my plex for easy watch. Best part is it even picks up either 4k or 1080p depending on the device I run plex app on.

    • A couple of weeks ago I did something very similar, although I went for the Stremio+ Real Debrid + torrentio combo.
Absolutely brilliant and have now signed up for the 6 months Real Debrid sub for approx $30 NZD.
Good bye to my Netflix, Disney subs!

Real Debrid allows an unlimited number of devices although the catch is they need to all share the same IP address if more than one device is using the account at the same time.

      • Yup. That bootstrapper I linked uses trakt + torrentio and it's very easy to setup all addons automatically and especially the list of order of channels on screen.

I am hosting stremio on my unraid server and using that everywhere so my real debrid is always getting my home ip. While outside I use vpn/Tailscale to connect so it's perfect.

I only did for 3 months but I will extending it soon. I am going to stop using my Netflix turkey account finally.

        • Bugger I’ve just bought another 6 months worth of Turkish netflix gift cards! Might have to give this setup a whirl once we’ve used those.

    • Sounds cool. Does it mix all the content together in one place, or does it have separate sections for 'netflix', 'hulu', etc?

  • Plex + arrs all the way, once it's setup you'll never have to worry about streaming services again

    • If you’re on PC like I am, r/Piracy has heaps of good streaming links (YT Premium is my main form of television so no need for a permanent setup).

I recommend using Virtual debit cards, especially from services like Wise, are super convenient when you're handling multiple online subscriptions or trials. With Wise, you can create a virtual debit card linked directly to your account. These cards are perfect for online purchases and, most importantly, they allow you to destroy the card anytime. This makes them great for managing trials, subscription services, or even international purchases without worrying about hidden fees or unexpected charges.

Now, when you combine virtual cards with a simple Gmail trick, you can really level up your strategy. If you’re not eligible for a trial or deal, just create a new email using Gmail's trick: instead of @gmail.com, use @googlemail.com. It’s essentially the same thing but gives you an “extra” email address to use. You can also add + in your email address (e.g., yourname+netflix@gmail.com) to create unique email addresses for each service or trial without needing to create entirely new accounts.

For the ultimate flexibility and control, though, getting your own domain is where it really shines. With your own domain, you can create unlimited email addresses (e.g., netflix@yourdomain.com, spotify@yourdomain.com) for different trials, services, or deals. This helps you stay organized and easily track what you've signed up for. If you ever get tired of a service or start receiving unwanted emails, you can simply delete that specific email address without affecting your primary inbox.

When combined with Wise’s virtual cards, you can create a completely secure and organized system for managing your online subscriptions, trials, and purchases. You get full control over both your email and payment info, keeping your personal details private and your digital life in check.

    • Great tip, though it does sound like a sponsor segment from a LTT video lol
