Does anyone have any recommendations for chromebooks for school as I have 2 that need to be replaced.
One for primary/intermediate age (minimal requirements given)
One for high school age
Don’t want detachable 3in1 type, but otherwise open to suggestions. They have other devices for gaming etc so these are only for school work.
Budget is fairly open

I need to buy a Chromebook for next year when my eldest goes to intermediate and I'm not sure I cant trust them with at $750+ device.
How's your son's Chromebook holding up? Still in one piece? Did you get a cover for it?
Its holding up fine. No issues at all. He is a pretty careful/gentle fella so am sure its not necessarily a perfect match for all :P
I did get a cover but we ended up just using the sleeve in his bag. We got it when it was on special last year so was more than a bog standard entry one for sure, but not a huge amount more, which is why this model was a very compelling proposition. Still very happy with it tbh.

fwiw I grabbed an Acer Chromebook Plus 514 for my son who just started Intermediate School. I went with this one specifically because it had higher spec's than most (being a Chromebook Plus) and was hoping (pipe dream) that it might suffice through into High School, rather than getting a lower spec'd one and replacing it with another (I am lazy).
The other benefit is that this has a fold flat design - to facilitate collaboration - and a touch screen which is something that he especially enjoys.
Purchased it on special via Amazon, so no local warranty, but the price was good enough ($500 ish from memory) to take that risk.
