2025 Infants, Kids & Super (0-10 years, 75+ years) Season Passes $0 (+ $5 for a RFID card) @ Whakapapa

200

Whakapapa is offering free season passes for those under 10 year's old, or 75+ during the pre-season period. (ends 8th June)

For infants (0-4 years), they remain free in season.
For Child (5-10 years) & Super (75+), In season, the season pass price goes up to $499 ($399 for weekday only), and day passes are fairly substantial.

Also pre-season discounts for other age groups.

We had a card already, but last year, I think it was possible to opt out of the $5 card, and pay it on the day (in case you don't actually make it to Whakapapa).

Note that Whakapapa & Turoa are now separate businesses, so this offer is for Whakapapa only.

Also Whakapapa has had the Sky Waka Gondola operational for a few years now, which I have yet to try out myself. Much easier for sightseers to get on and off than chairlifts.

  • I think it's not possible to opt out the $5, or if there is can someone show me. I tried removing each time and when you click continue it adds it back

    • It may not be possible this year. Did not try myself.

  • I didn’t post this as a deal because it’s not really available widely, but if you know anybody who had a lifepass before the old RAL ceased to exist, they can access a deal for 3 season passes for $999 and are allowed to transfer this to a different person if they don’t want to use it. Very good deal if you’re planning on paying $749 for one season anyway.

People post deals only relevant to one suburb's supermarket in one city, so this is more than acceptable if those are.

  • I'm keen to purchase a 3-season pass from somebody if they are selling it! Is there possibly a Facebook page for these?

  • Got this last week, such a bloody good deal. Especially as we go up several times per year!

  • yet another thing for old people who whine about younger generations not working hard enough to get for free.

  • Join one of the whakapapa clubs and theyll provide a code to get a pass for $599. Funded by your taxes. Clubs can be joined from $34 for midweek membership.
