I’ve never heard of WPGames… google shows it’s a house in Manurewa. Is this legit?

    • I have purchased from them before, but it was only an RCM jig. Not too I'd trust them for anything high value.

I've bought from WP Games before. The owner is operating their trading card/video games business from home and I picked up my order from there. Genuine guy and tries hard to beat the retailers on price/release date. Would recommend :)

Yeah they are. I know the person who runs it, and they've been running that store for awhile

Yeah, I've bought from him too recently. Bought a Nintendo Alarmo which they were selling cheaper than retail.

  • How likely to get a price match on this?

iirc mightyape has smililar pricing($3-4 more) but its primate exclusive for preorders, I have no idea but might be possible to start the free trial, preorder then end free trial. Not sure if it will lock in the free shipping etc too.

I saw similar pricing on an ad at savvy badger, never heard of them all didn't post the deal.

Their blurb says they are ex mighty ape staff who weren't happy with the changes so have spun up their own tech shop.

Hi OP, Thanks so much for sharing our deal to the cheapies community (first time we’ve been posted by someone else since operating for the past 5 years)!

Like others have pointed out in the comments, we do operate an online store only. However we offer pick up and do not require full payment upfront (20%). If you’re Auckland based and put in an Auckland address for shipping you can actually select pick up on release day and pay the bulk of the payment on the day. For those outside of Auckland, shipping is available, but if you prefer pick up in your local area (totally fair!) do try and get them to price match us!

If anyone have any questions about our store, products, warranty or anything else do please leave a comment here and we’ll do our best to answer :)

Hey, thanks for posting. How does it all work with the NZ preorder stock? Are store guaranteed a certain number of consoles to sell? It seems like it’s so hard to secure a preorder in the US but here there has been no rush at all.

      • +2

Hey @Zero! All stores were allocated a pre determined amount of stock by the distributor on day 1 of the Switch 2 announcements. All stock we are selling are confirmed and due to ship to us before release day so we can then ship it out to you for release day arrival!

Whether there will be more stock in the immediate weeks once release day stock is sold out is less certain though even in ANZ.

I imagine the US may be a little bit different right now with the uncertainty around tariffs. Though not exactly too sure what’s going on there haha.

        • just curious do you allow pick up from your business?

          • +1

@Lazyb0y: Hey @Lazyb0y yes that’s not a problem. If you’re talking about the Switch 2 you can input an Auckland address and the pickup option should pop up automatically on site.

For any other products you can reach out to us via our social pages or email and we can arrange a mutually suitable time :)
