I got mine for less than $400. No issues about 2 yrs in.
And TBH front loaders aren't exactly new tech. They are pretty basic. Most still use concrete blocks to stabilise. There isnt much point buying an expensive one.
They'd be cheap to fix toi, if it wasn't for the fact you need to remove half the case to work on some parts. Seals and bearings (which I'm guessing is what killed yours) are like $80. It's the three plus hours labour that kills it.

No preferred brandI believe size was more in regards to the KG rating of the machine than the whole units dimensions.
That width of 560mm is going to really reduce your options.

Typically front loaders are 600mm wide.
Not the price range asked about but its a deal.
