Highly recommend. Steaming it is the best, but I'm lazy af so I microwave it at 1min 20seconds and it's ready to eat. So easy if you want a quick snack and are real busy

I balance my bao on top of chopsticks over a bowl of water in the microwave. I'm unsure if it makes a difference, but easy afternoon snack working from home. : )

A trick that I was introduced is to cover the bun with wet paper towel and microwave it.
For me this is the closest it can get to steaming it while being lazy
