Not sure how accurate this is or if I'm misunderstanding your comment, but I had an existing PS Plus Extra subscription that was set to renew in 5 days and it still let me extend the same tier for $167

My son's Essentials subscription only allows him to discount if he moves to Extra (25%) or Deluxe (30%) and only for the remainder of his current subscription term which was the reason for my comment.

thanks. my current Ps Plus Extra was expiring Feb 2025. I've heard mixed stories so just gave it a go. Had cancelled the auto renewal / auto payment thing soon as i paid last time so maybe that's why i have a different experience than what other comments suggest.
Gave me 2 options :
Option 1 **: Extend Deluxe for current term (until Feb 2025).
**Option 2 : extend my current Extra Sub for $167 until Feb 2026 - this is the option I chose.
After doing Option2, it then gave option to extend to Deluxe for $23.59 for 455 days. I decided not to go for Deluxe despite the small extra, as potentially it won't let me downgrade next time if there is a good sale for Extra but not Deluxe, or maybe they do a Deluxe sale for 'upgraders' only or whatever.. keeps the options open.

Weird question. Would this work if I made multiple different emails and buy the entire $180 worth of codes using the $10 discount codes above to buy a years subscription for the deluxe version ?
One account is sufficient as the codes are multiuse. I used all three codes first and reused two codes second.

Excellent, mine was up for renewal in a few weeks anyway. So cancelled it and then rebrought it for the 20% discount to give me through till the end of 2025 now
Can I just check on this say your renewal was up on 15th Dec. You cancelled today and rebought at 20% discount is the new sub to 15th Dec 25 or to 24 Nov 25?
My essential cancels in Mar25 but would be happy to cancel and get the new sub if its to Mar26.
Yeah so my renewal was due on 17th December. I cancelled it and then brought with the 20% off the Playstation Essentials. Now my renewal date for next payment is 17th December 2025.
Can someone guide me through this, I'm currently on 'essential' until Mar 2025. Can I buy a couple of years of 'extra' using this deal to start when my 'essential' finishes on Mar 2025?

cancel the subscription auto renewal on your account, then you should have access to be able to extend thorugh the black friday deal.
Did that and when intry and renew, it still only give me the option to upgrade for the remainder of my subscription. Doesnt give me the option to buy another year att hendiscpunted price. Even if i want to upgrade from essential to extra.
This is also across markets.
Singapore extra ends up being just under $130 (by the time you pay extra for PSN cards).
Though honestly I'd move my account to NZ if it didn't mean losing access to any previous monthly games at this point.

Been a year without a sub… tempting but will prob pass again. Kids do miss some games but then i should just buy those titles outright.
