I'm starting to buy a few watches. Where do people recommend to buy watches under $500 I have brought a few seikos from Japan and a few casios from online stores in NZ.

I've used Long Island Watch a couple of times, though it was a few years back now. /r/watches on Reddit is a good resource for finding reliable retailers and grey market sellers.

Thornton auctions. Picked up a used but genuine Rolex Datejust for 4k couple years back.

this, if you are about to fly in or out of NZ. Cheapest price by far and looks stunning. Tissot is definitely in the "luxury" range of the "Affordable" market.
