Can get it down to $800 with a trade-in, 10% member's code, 10% first shop on app and two $50 codes.

Will trade in an almost 13 yr old 50" non-smart TV for $100.
Okay, but what would you be able to sell it for if you don't trade it in - that is the real value you are forgoing. If it is around $100, then it doesn't matter, but I have no idea myself.
that's a 50hz panel fyi. If you're into games, it's gonna be a lil weird.

this is a better tv, but it's $145 more, so whatever trade-in you've got is worth factoring in.
Also i'd recommend trying a samsung tv in a store, the new smart interface they have is not great

Has to at least partly depend on what you are trading in, and what you could get for it if you sold it yourself, as without that, you might be actually paying $850 or you might be paying $2,000.
