28.00 at PB Tech too. Is Belkin going out of business or something

      • +1

Most likely trying to clear old stock ahead of new products.

I'm torn bwtween this and the valore one pb has. Belking is the bigger brand and has a stand but the valore one does 15w wireless and 20w wired which would be conventient if you need to charge a non wireless device or want it done quicker.

Have you ever charged wirelessly in a hutry? Your phone heats up a lot - I always prefer wired - better for the battery

        • *hurry

        • Biggest issue with heat has been since putting a magsafe case on a samsung phone, the magsafe ring gets really hot. At least wkth the valore one you could wired if you needed quick top up. I guess the upshot of the magsafe ones is you just leave the thing attached so never really would be in a hurry if theres no cable.

Belkin 2 year warranty wins over an unknown brand. LiPo batteries can and will explode if the protection circuit isn't good enough to prevent overcharging and overheating. Won't take the risk

        • Went with the belkin in the end, reading up you can wire it if you want to charge a bit faster or a non wireless charging device. Somehow i had $28 credit i was unaware of until a few days back so this cleared that out.

          • @Everettpsycho: Free wireless power bank ftw!

I bought the 20k as well, need the capacity when I travel. Main attraction for me was the type c input, my old one was a micro b and it's a hassle to pack another cable when I travel. Type c for everything feels good man. Can also confirm mine will charge over C to C PD.

            • @Redcafej: Pciked it up today and had tk change my phone case. Be warned on an s24 ultra the battery bank partially cover the bottom camera so if the case isnt flush with the lenses hmthe battery doesnt fit. Don't think its a deal breaker but i will be more selective with magsafe ring cases and how they cover the camera going forward.

I have been using one of these for about 6 months and found it good. Paid about this from NL on special back then.. They are quite large and heavy though.

  • Do these degrade with shelf time? I wonder how old is the stock they are trying to clear and whether the battery significantly degraded by now? Hm…
