After the letdown today, with huge 100+ people queues and them turning people away midday sometime due to no stock, I messaged twoguys on instagram to ask about their plan for tomorrow (will there be more stock than today?) because people were pretty peeved off to be turned away before midday today. Their response:

Yeah…. We are trying our best to prepare more stocks for tmr. We had a higher volume of demands than we expected, and we have a bad (sorry) feeling for those who got turned away after such a long queue and travel…😭 We will keep updated on our stock level and status tmr so that our customers don’t waste their time. 😭

Take from that what you will… it may not be worth showing up tomorrow and risking missing out. Sorry cheapies, I hope non of you wasted your time today!

New store - "Two Guys Chicken Burgers" are opening this weekend, and are offering up $5 Burgers as an opening promotion. Not sure how much these normally cost as the store isn't open yet, but knowing Auckland prices, they will probably cost upwards of $15-20 normally.
Apparently the store is right next to the baker's delight, inside the Royal Oak Mall.

Reddit says max two burgers per person, but I can't see anything about that on the store's instagram page, so I can't confirm…

        They sold out, i didnt ask but i suspect they had nothing left cause they were turning away customers before and after my pak n save shop.
        I wonder why they stayed open.

    Did you see how many people there were?
    The photos of queues I saw at 11am looked hours long.

    I won't think it was a scam. I think it was a serious undetestination of interest.

      There were about 20 odd in the queue when I got there. Not sure how long before that people were getting told to go away though.

        I was sent a video of the queue at 11am, I counted 100+ people.

        So I'd say they got pretty overwhelmed. Agree with others that they should have posted a quota for how many burgers they were prepared to make.

        Ultimately though, them shutting shop at midday and turning a bunch of pissed off people away is certainly not good for business, so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and say they were probably just woefully underprepared for the volumes they had. If it's the same story again tomorrow, however, I'll jump on the bandwagon with everyone else peeved off at them…

      It wasnt a scam but they should have had a quota, i would have paid the normal price, i think the other places did well since they had something to provide.
      Wendys was packed but not sure if thats normal.

        Yep agreed. I've messaged them on instagram to ask if they have a limit and whether there will be more tomorrow.

        Giving them the benefit of the doubt but if the same happens tomorrow, I'll be just as miffed off at them as everyone else is

        Editing to share their response to my inst question, asking about whether there would be a quota or more stock tomorrow than there was today:

    I didn’t because sick, but twoguys was posting updates on their insta page and it looks like they learned from yesterday.

    They were giving regular updates on queues, wait time and how much stock they had left. They also were handing out tickets to people in the queue, so they could make sure nobody queued and then got turned away. Also limited menu options and limited to one burger per person.

    Apprently at the height of the queues today, there were 200 people waiting.

    I didnt bother waste of time, they should of copied other places with a code than to advertise them all for $5 on the menu
