$15 tickets if you're a one nz customer

    • Not with OneNZ unfortunately

      • +6

You can just get $1 sim and login to OneNZ portal and use it. No need for any active plans.

Entertainment "Book" also lets you buy vouchers for $15, looks very similar to the One NZ Rewards deal. "not valid for Saturdays and Sundays after 2pm. Not valid on public holidays. Not redeemable for DBOX sessions". Standard price is $18? Or $16.20 with rewards 10% off, just little saving but better than nothing. Must be annoying if you want to see something like Dune 2, you can only choose between Xtremescreen ($24) or Lux ($41) for some days.

AA member benefit has 40% off at Event cinemas in case if that helps.

    • +1

can you buy this for someone else? or only for the card holder?

      • +1

Not sure really as never used it. I believe it won't be required as you can redeem the voucher online at eventcinema.

AA Members can purchase a minimum of two (2) and maximum of ten (10) tickets in one transaction with a limit of forty (40) tickets per calendar month. Tickets may be used separately, unless bought as a family pass. All eVouchers are valid for up to12 months from date of purchase. After this period the barcode becomes void and cannot be used. Movie eVouchers are only valid for use at EVENT Cinemas New Zealand, The Embassy or Rialto Cinemas – Newmarket and Dunedin. You can also purchase vouchers for the Academy Gold Cinema at The Colombo, Christchurch. Each eVoucher is valid for admission to a standard movie session as per the details listed on each voucher type. eSaver voucher types are not valid after 5.00pm Friday, Saturday and all day on public holidays. eMovie types may be used anytime. To redeem your eVoucher take a printed copy of the emailed eVoucher to the cinema box office. Or you can use the barcode and pin number to book your seats online at www.eventcinemas.co.nz.

      • When my friend was an AA member we always got our tickets via them without issue.

      No Event cinemas in Christchurch

Buy hoyts e-gift cards when they are discounted, you can just gift them to yourself. Regularly at least 10% or 15% off. Be a VIP member, and then use vouchers when buying tickets at the member rates. Buy in cinema or self service checkout to avoid booking fees.

  • +1

Better to buy via AA vs One rewards as one charges a booking fee.
Or if you have access to an AIA vitality account, tickets are $12 there

    • +2

Just got an email they're about to be $15 with AIA so get them for $12 while you can.

    https://www.cheapies.nz/node/45907 Might help - 15% off e-gift cards.

    • Wonder if we can buy these through the VIP accounts and accumulate points on the gift card purchases?

      • Unfortunately not. When you buy, you can't login. It would be double dipping, so as with most gift cards, you don't earn points when buying, only when redeeming.

  • Reading cinemas is doing $10 tickets. Hard to beat that.

    • +1

OP noted EntX. Readings premium screens don't really compare to the size of the EntX screens and come at a premium price. Hoyts is also doing $10 member tickets to compete at the moment.
      .

    • How do you get $10 tickets? I'm only seeing $14 online for Dunedin or $12 for seniors. Edit: Oh, just for The Palms.
