Our technology provider has now resolved the payment terminal issue and all Gull sites are once again fully operational.

We understand it has been a frustrating day for motorists across the country and for our Gull customers.

      Maybe they already knew they were having problems so cancelled the SMS? I did receive an SMS about the payment problems

    Long story short, their payment terminals seems to have glitched out because they forgot to factor in leap years. They might extend the discount till tomorrow or best case, they might extend the promotion period as well as increase the discount because of the inconveniences caused.

    My suggestion would be to hold up if you can as you might be wasting your time in going to their station with their payment terminals not working and also because they might extend and/or increase the discount.

    Their FB page said they are gonna compensate by running a discount day next week so my assumptions above might not be entirely correct. Hopefully, they'd still increase the discount if it does happen next week.

    Won't be fixed in time… running a new Discount Day next week, so this one is cancelled.

      I'm not sure it's cancelled? Based on their website announcement it seems that they will be running an additional one next week, but this current one will still run its course.

        Also from the news reports, those few station which still have in-store staffed payments will still be fine when paying in store

            @Sharetank Dude: I assume you mean staffed, if so yes. Quite a few in the West Auckland & central area although still far fewer than before. Henderson Valley, Rosebank roundabout (not the one further along!), Kingsland, and Stoddard Road are all still staffed AFAIK. I think one of the South Auckland ones also is although I haven't been there for a while. They were good when vouchers were still given out, but don't matter so much anymore. In fact it normally means you have to make a choice between paying in store for 6 cents more or joining the long queues for the 2 pumps which are pay at pump

            Oh also, I assume even if the problem isn't fixed, you'll be able to get the discount from unstaffed sites (or staffed sites at the pump) from midnight until 0700 unless it's permanently broken until they fix it.
