Do you guys know where I can get some resold tickets for Zuru Nightglow?
I was unable to get them free at 9 am today. Tried a couple of times but was on queue.
Need 2 tickets for balloons over Waikato Zuru Nightglow. Happy to pay for them.
We have never been and would love to celebrate our anniversary going!

Unless the nightglow is declared a major event under the Major Events Management Act 2007 then it's perfectly legal to sell them for more than their cost (i.e. free).
Scalping is legal in NZ with the exception of the above.
OR, seller and buyer agrees to buy XYZ item at $$$ on Trademe or FB Marketplace. Seller then puts in the "free" tickets for Zuru Nightglow in with the XYZ item because they're nice. Very hard to argue that seller sold the Zuru ticket, since it was never sold.
Selling the tickets is against the event's terms though so it could get the tickets cancelled and freed up for someone on the waitlist.
Legality or not, it's also about principle but agree that if found sold they could be cancelled. I couldn't go last year because of COVID and I was happy to transfer them on the Facebook forum as there were loads of people asking. Easier than releasing them on Ticketek, but each to their own 😅
Sign up to the waiting list. If people try to resell it at a cost, it's actually illegal (but who knows how desperate people can get?).
Also, join the Facebook event. People will always release some back in there if you're fast enough. To be fair, the process was horrible and I was left in a "waiting room" for a good 20 minutes before I was allowed to select tickets, so no surprise some weren't lucky 😔
