Car window glass repair in Auckland?

Woke up this morning to see both of my cars which were parked on the driveway in front of my house were broken into. 😭

With this wet and wild weather, I need to fix the car’s window asap but I don’t have car insurance (please don’t judge, I’m under cancer therapy and money is tight right now), so I’m looking for a good car window glass repair company that’s affordable.

Do y’all have any recommendations please?

I’m based in Forrest Hill, North Shore. I’m pretty sure the crew targeted our street as I see my neighbours’ cars broken into too. 😰

    Can recommend Maverick Auto Glass in Swanson. They offer mobile service so should be able to come to you.

    Novus Auto Glass in Penrose. My car window got broken into last year and most shops quoted $450 and Novus in Penrose quoted me $150. Mine had the tint applied as well to match the rest of the glass. It was a really good job well done. Took only about 25 mins of waiting. I think their other branches are the same price, but you should call to double check.

    I checked with at least 5 different shops btw and that was the cheapest I found.

    I’ve called around and Instant Windscreen quoted me $350 for each of the car. Novus quoted $440 for each. 😭

    Crossing my fingers that the rest of the windscreen companies that I’ve emailed will respond with a lower price.

      I’ve never tried this myself, but depending on how tight money is, you could always consider a used windscreen from a wrecker. Maybe ask the glass companies if they would supply a used one for cheaper, or install if you brought them a used one yourself (which you can go pull yourself from a wrecking yard)

      Obviously going to be a lot of extra work for you, but if it saves you the money you need then give it a go
