Bunnings NZ Stock and Price Checker

I run a few stock checking websites pretty much just for Aussie retail stores, but have just expanded the Bunnings one to cater for you fellas as well.

It's a pretty simple website that allows you to paste the product's URL or SKU into the search bar and it'll show you the stock levels across of all of NZ in either a list or a map view. You can also get the price from the individual stores as they do vary sometimes.

Basically, I had the Australian version that's been running for quite some time and I tweaked it a little to cater for the New Zealand stores. Just wanted to share the love with our neighbour.

      At the moment I haven't really thought of any and aren't really aware of the retailer crossovers between the two countries. Now that I've set up this initial one, it is a lot easier for me set up others.

      Someone has mentioned that you also have Supercheapauto over there so might take a look at that and see how much effort it would be to get the NZ version of it up.

      Never realised that those stores were there as well. Will take a look at what it would take to get it working for NZ as well.
      Will keep you guys posted.

    Thanks. I've now found out why most of NZ has no black electrical tape (0319369), Botany has been hoarding it (1054 rolls!)

      Yep, it's amazing how certain products are concentrated to certain stores.

      Most people find the website useful especially when good deals are on. Helps work out which stores have the most of the item and the likely hood of actually finding the item, especially if it's popular. Links to my site are usually shared on OzBargain posts to help people work out where to get the deal from.

      It's also quite useful if you need a lot of a specific building item such as a particular tile, plaster board, lengths of timber etc… You can use it to see exactly how much they actually have at each store. Saves a lot of running around and calling.

    Just as a side question, is your BigW checker broken at the moment? Tried testing it with a few products but just got "Cannot check stock for that, try again later"

    Have a few products I want to send a friend to go for a hunt on finding over there. Kmart NZ should be pretty similar to implement as BigW (Assuming it uses the same style GraphQL calls)

      I think the Big W one is broken right now. I need to investigate the issue around it. It is slightly different to the Bunnings one which shows actual stock numbers, it can only indicate low, medium ahd high stock levels.

      With Kmart, I did try and look at building one for them some time ago, however I did run into issues around it as they were using sophisticated blocking techniques from memory so I just focused on some other retailers
