Update: One way from AKL to Osaka has risen, Sig return price is still the same.

I was actively looking at tickets to JP. I saw the post to Tokyo via Nadi for around $800 but the length of stopover times out and return are just killing my insufficient Annual leave…..

So I was randomly browsing and finally got this deal. My case is from 16th May to 4th June for $986.
You can plan 2/4/6-weeks trip start from April/May.

Departure:
Many dates available on Jetstar - 15hours ish travel time, be cautious this is low-cost airline, so do expect delays, and all services are extra.
AKL - Osaka via SYD for $416NZD with Boeing 787-8 dreamliner.

Return:
From Osaka or Tokyo to AKL via Singapore with SIG Airline - The best or the second best airline in the world with checked luggage, food and inflight entertainment.

Transit in Singapore for 17 hours or more, arrive in sig early morning, and fly back in the late evening. A nice full day to explore Singapore and fill your tummy with tropical fruitssssssss, chicken rice, lasi lemak etc… It will be the durian season btw!

The below dates are the cheapest throughout 2024 in SIG airline calendar of this route.
FYI, 3rd June is Charle's birthday.

Remember to pay JPY!!!! It's a lot cheaper than paying other currencies due to the rapid fall of JPY! and purchase with logged in account to earn miles

      What's the best strategy when it comes to multi city trips. Is it usually better to look for one way trips? When I do a multi trip search it usually doesn't offer any good pricing over the airlines' websites.

      Eg. Akl To Syd, to Sin, to Shanghai or Tokyo, to Mel, to AKL?

        I tend to price one ways, rather than multi-trip. It takes longer, but often get a better deal.
