Recommend a high-pressure water-saving long-lasting shower head

Hi, could you please recommend a high-pressure water-saving long-lasting shower head? Thanks

  • not sure you can save water with a high pressure head ?

    • Mine has a flow rate of 24 litres per minute. I've heard you can get the same pressure for a flow rate about half as much, due to clever design of the head.

    • I wonder if they mean that the house has a high-pressure hot water system? A lot of old houses have low pressure Hot Water Cylinders?

      • I've found that all the water saving high pressure show heads turn the water into needles.

I would recommend having the best showerhead and just reducing the time you spend in the shower.

Even soap up with water off, then use shower to rinse only.

  • Let us know the outcome, which shower head you opted for. Cheers.

  • I like the Methven Waipori. We're on our second one after moving house and installing one at the new place because we liked the last one so much. We originally tried it for a laugh when Methven were doing a "$1 trial only pay for it if you keep it" promo but we ended up liking it enough to buy it.

    • I got the Methven Ora and it's easily the best shower head I've ever used. I first tried it at City Fitness and the spray was so good I replaced the Grohe I had with this.

      • Always a pressure to meet a fellow showerhead connoisseur đŸ˜‚ When we bought our latest Waipori I think I figured that the only difference between it and the Ora was that the Ora seems to be the Bunnings exclusive variant. I could be misremembering that, though.

    • I have the same, amazing the difference even with low pressure hot water.
Moved to mains pressure hot water and the pressure is soo good. Always get positive comments when people stay over.

    • Thanks. I have had the Kiri Satin Jet in another bathroom for 6 years. It's OK but not amazing. Do you know what are the main differences between the Waipori and the Kiri Satin Jet? https://www.mico.co.nz/bathroom/shower-mixers-showering/hand…

      • +1

No idea, sorry. I know the Waipori does some special "smash water jets together to make a bunch of droplets" magic but other than that I don't remember a tonne about it.
