There are two ways to participate in 6 & Shout, through the “Live Mode” and “Season Mode”.

LIVE MODE

  1. To enter the Live Mode game, Entrants must participate in the 6 & Shout digital experience via the KFC app. Entrants must be registered with a KFC account and enter their contact details. The entrant must select which zone they think a six will be hit into in the next Eligible T20 Match.
  2. Entrants must select a zone before the Eligible T20 Match commences. Once the match commences, the zone selection for all entries submitted prior to the commencement of the match will lock. New entrants can still select a zone for the match once it commences, but their entrance and choice of zone will only be valid for the 2nd innings. The entries will lock again once the 2nd innings has commenced and there will be no further selections allowed for the remainder of the game.
  3. Definition of a “six” - A six will have been considered to have been hit for the purposes of this Promotion when a boundary six is signalled by the on-field umpire during the relevant Eligible T20 Match. A boundary six is awarded when the batsman hits the ball in the air and it crosses the boundary line before coming into contact with the ground.
  4. If a six is hit into the Entrant’s selected zone during the match, they will be eligible to receive a unique claim code (Claim Code) for the KFC product that corresponds with the zone selected by the Entrant. Winning Entrants will be notified via SMS with their Claim Code by midday on the day after the Eligible T20 Match finishes.
  5. No entries will be accepted outside the Promotion Period.
  6. Entrants may only enter a maximum of once per Eligible T20 Match.
  7. There will be nineteen separate T20 matches at which the KFC 6 & Shout Live Mode prizes can be won. The relevant T20 matches are:

PRIZE POOL

  1. There are eight KFC products that will be on rotation throughout the season and can be won for selected Eligible T20 Match throughout the promotion period (Prizes):
  • KFC Zinger Burger;
  • KFC Regular Chips;
  • KFC 2pk Wicked Wings;
  • KFC Snack Burger;
  • KFC Slider (any flavour);
  • KFC Chocolate Mousse;
  • KFC Regular Potato & Gravy; and
  • KFC Secret Recipe Chicken Single Piece
  1. Entrants will also have the ability to pick a ‘Mystery Zone’. Entrants who select this zone will be assigned a Claim Code for one of the eight eligible products that can be won in the event that a six is hit into the designated Mystery Zone during an Eligible Match.
  2. Claim Codes corresponding to Prizes for the Live Mode will be sent out via SMS by 8am the following day after each match concludes.
  3. If an Entrant is a winner of a Prize of either a they will receive a SMS message to notify them of the Prize they have won, along with a unique Claim Code to use online for redemption of the Prize at Participating Stores. To redeem their prize, winners must enter the code at cart when redeeming online on the KFC App or website for delivery or online pick up orders. Service fee & minimum spend of $20 still applies on KFC Delivery.
  4. Prizes are not redeemable via aggregator delivery platforms, like UberEats & Menulog.
  5. Claim Codes will be only be valid for the day after the corresponding T20 match is complete.
  6. A Claim Code cannot be used more than once per day.
  7. Limit of one free KFC product per customer per transaction. Not available with any other promotional offers.
  8. Prizes that are not claimed in the time and manner specified in these Terms and Conditions will be deemed forfeited. No compensation will be payable if an Entrant is unable to claim a Prize as stated for whatever reason, including winning a Prize that has for some reason been deleted from the Entrant’s phone. The Promoter’s decision are final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
  9. The KFC Zinger Burger, KFC Regular Chips, KFC Slider, KFC Chocolate Mousse, KFC 2pk Wicked Wings, KFC Snack Burger, KFC Potato & Gravy and KFC Snack Burger Prizes are not transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
  10. All Entrants who have won a prize will be notified via the same mobile number through which the entry was made. The Promoter is not responsible for any undelivered SMS messages to an Entrant’s mobile phone.
  11. If a six is not hit into a zone during an eligible match then it is deemed that the zone was not unlocked and Entrants who selected that will not be awarded a prize.

SEASON MODE

  1. To enter through the Season Mode, Entrants must play the “Season Mode” game on the KFC App to score runs and claim their run total to convert to Colonel Coins. The run total can only be claimed once per day. Colonel Coins can be used to redeem on KFC Rewards in the Rewards tab of the 6 & Shout digital experience.

Colonel Coins can be redeemed for KFC Rewards, including the following products:

  • KFC Zinger Burger;
  • KFC Regular Chips;
  • KFC 2pk Wicked Wings;
  • KFC Snack Burger;
  • KFC Slider (ANY flavour);
  • KFC Chocolate Mousse;
  • KFC Regular Potato & Gravy; and
  • KFC Secret Recipe Chicken Single Piece
  1. Each product will have different Colonel Coin values associated with them. Once redeemed, the corresponding Colonel Coin amount will be subtracted from the Entrant’s Colonel Coin Balance.
  2. Once an entrant redeems a KFC Reward, they will be notified via text message with a unique Claim Code for the corresponding product.
  3. The unique Claim Code will be only be valid for 72 hours. The codes are only available for online redemption through online pickup and delivery. $5 minimum spend applies for online pick up and $20 minimum spend & service fee applies for delivery orders.
  4. All KFC Rewards will be sent via the same mobile number through which the entrant signed up with. The Promoter is not responsible for any undelivered text messages to the winner’s mobile.
  5. To redeem their reward, Entrants must enter the code at cart when redeeming online on the KFC App or website for delivery or click & collect orders.
  6. KFC Rewards are not redeemable via aggregator delivery platforms, like UberEats & Menulog.
  7. A KFC Reward unique Claim Code cannot be used more than once per day.
  8. Limit of one KFC Reward claim code per customer per transaction. Not available with any other promotional offers.
  9. KFC Rewards that are not claimed in the time and manner specified in these Terms and Conditions will be deemed forfeited.   11. All remaining Colonel Coins will be deemed invalid at the end of the promotion period.

    The KFC 6 & SHOUT experience is only compatible with iPhone 8 and later models, with iOS version 12 and above. For Android users, the game is compatible with all Android OS devices with Android 8 and over. You will need to ensure you have enough free space on your device to play the game, and internet connectivity.

    Have I got this right, ‘Live Mode’ is the way 6 & Shout has previously been run and ‘Season Mode’ you need to play for longer to accumulate runs to convert to ‘coins’? Is this something that has to be done for every game just like you had to play before every game in previous 6&S promotions? How many runs do you need for a zinger?

      Just had a play around in the app. I got 35 and that was a struggle! Says a singer is 5000 with a $5 minimum spend! Give up on that very quickly. I see the zones have changed and some areas (most commonly hit areas) are now unable to be picked. Also note the wicked wings have been brought back to 2 instead of 3 pieces.

        And I see what you mean about some zones being unselectable. Wonder if they will sometime make them selectable or it's always going to be like this?

        Means there are only 4 zones you can select, one mystery, one snack burger, one pieces of chicken and one chips instead of 6 (I think final was 2 mystery, 1 zone each for snack, chicken, chips and one potato and gravy). Also the mystery zone has all of the 8 offers. IIRC the mystery zone lacked potato and gravy or something, you could only get it by manually selecting that zone.

      I don't know this time for the Live Mode but you didn't have to play for Six and Shout last time. You were free to just skip the game and manually select the zone.

      Edit: See they gave up on the game for live mode, you just select a zone.

    I guess this is because of season mode but it seems you now need to use the app and log-in to play with the phone number attached to your account. Not like last time where they forced you to use the app to start, but didn't require you login and also they then sent you to a website and you just had to enter your details. (And you could even reuse the initial URL for about an hour so only had to start once.)

          Not for me. I mean I can enter, but it says I'm entering the 2nd T20 and it's 2 days 10 hours away.

          Edit: Also the zone selection seems broken. I can't seem to select a zone so can only enter in zone 1. And my mates account which had already entered last morning can enter zone 1 afresh as if his previous entry isn't for the current (which makes sense since it was for the 1st not 2nd). Or at least it seems to, he didn't actually go further in case it messes with his existing selection of the mystery zone for the first T20

              @Nil Einne: It came back sometime between when I posted and about 1240 and had the right match.

              But it still wasn't and isn't working very well. Seems very slow an unresponsive at least on my Android tablet whereas wasn't yesterday. Also keep getting error code 25599. I mean you can eventually get it to work and successfully select a zone if you try hard enough but it takes ages and may need multiple tries.

              And it's still like that despite the first game already being counted as in progress so any entries are for the second innings only. Don't quite get how it can be so bad, are they trying to run it on on a 486 with 14k dial up modem? I can't imagine there are that many people playing at once. This is NZ afterall.

                  @bigcheese: Yeah. At they don't seem to have broken the main/normal/ordering part of the app from what I can tell. I didn't order anything but it seems to work fine when I tested it. It would be particularly funny if they'd broken the key function of their app by adding the game.

                      @Nil Einne: One thing I forgot to mention and the most bizarre part for me. When it was being super slow I found even selecting the zone took ages. I mean you'd tap on it then either wait ages or try to tap multiple times until it finally selected and you could continue. I assume this meant the app had to get a response when selecting the zone which I found a bit of a weird design. I can understand because the zones change they need to retrieve the info fresh but it doesn't seem they would save that much from only retrieving the final info when tapping on the zone.

          Are people referring to the last Six and Shout? If so, why do people find it so much worse than last time? Because your forced to use the app for everything? Or the need to make an account?

          I find being forced to use the app for everything annoying but it isn't that bad. And needing to use an account is whatever, the first time it's worse but I feel it's actually easier after that. The limited zones is annoying but it doesn't mean it's more effort just less reward.

          Them not telling you what you won in the mystery zone is also annoying. But IIRC when they first introduced the mystery zone they did the same thing, remains to be seen if they'll go back to telling you what you won.

          For clarity I'm only referring to the Live Mode. The other mode does sound dumb but I haven't touched it other than being forced to check in when I am getting to the live mode so it doesn't really concern me.

    Interesting, KFC have stopped you redeeming more than one free code a day in the same account when doing online pickup without payment. I guess you might still be able to convince staff to let you redeem multiple codes, or use multiple accounts, but it makes it much more annoying if you have more than one code.

    When you try to place a second free order it say, "Sorry, you have reached your free product limit for today. Add items to cart to checkout." so you might be able to redeem two free codes if you're making a paid order, not sure. Also didn't try picking up in a different store.

    While you could never use more than one code per order, you used to be able to just make multiple orders in succession. It generally meant you got a lot of those big KFC bags (why did they decide to only have one size of bag?), sometimes even with a lot of sealed stickers but still it worked.

    Also their slider order system is flawed. You're able to click on it to specify what type of slider you want and it shows up in your receipt. But it doesn't show up in their order info on screen or the printed order info (which is more or less what's on their screens I think). It just says "Any slider" so they have to ask you or you settle for whatever they decide to make.

    Entry for today's game is currently broken, stupid thing

    It's showing me White Fens V England 4th T20 Cello Basin Zone 1 over 66 days away (and not even the next game after todays), Plus two of the zones have Xs and when you select them it calls them blocked although they still otherwise seem to be selected. To be clear, there are still 2 greyed out zones, so there are only two zones that seem to be 'working'. Although frankly I'm not convinced I would have successfully selected a zone for either today's game or the 66 days away one.

        It stayed like that until about 8 minutes before the game then stopped working completely with a red screen and maybe error 25599 eventually which it's still doing.

        Don't know if it was okay they broke it and lost the correct match sometime, or it's been like that since the last match finished the first innings and so you could never enter properly

          Started to work again at about 1425, weirdly at first it was still for White Ferns match. But changed to the proper match within a few minutes albeit in progress/second innings as you might expect. At about 1445 during innings break it died again 25599 etc perhaps intentionally as they change to the next match (hopefully the right one).

          Edit: Actually it's back again now, dunno when but first found it 1500. But if you don't have an entry it's the White Ferns match again. While it's a month away hopefully they do make it the right next match sometime soon. (If you do have an entry it shows you what you selected but you can't change it, like normal.)
