    i too am hoping for less Mcdonalds after my daily double hashbrown $2.50 purchase to get 2 tickets for the Monopoly comp and subsequent November deals.

  IIRC last year it last 3 days or so.

  Edit: It lasted at least 4 days. I think it did end early since I thought I remember it being gone and/or being replaced by something else (was it a coke for $1?) but I might be misremembering. I'm not sure if I even checked.

  It was during the 30 day deals so this might have affected its popularity e.g. if someone was getting a small combo as many of the deals were last year too IIRC, they might have decided even a small drink was enough. OTOH they were at least going to McDonald's, I imagine many people aren't going to bother for a drink.

  It also started on Monday instead of Friday. Again it seems complicated how this affects things. Friday could mean people shopping etc during the weekend might be near a McDonald's and could pop in for a drink. And McDonald's itself is I'm fairly sure more popular from Friday-Sunday than Monday-Wednesday. However Saturday and Sunday means far fewer people who have a McDonald's near their work or especially near their school who might pop in on their way there or back or during a break.
