Any help on getting a low cost washing machine to use in my rental would be much appreciated. I only use it once a week, so a good reliable one that lasts a few years would be great. I am budgeting around $600. Top or front loaders are fine.

PS: Both our last Samsung Top Loaders ended up leaking from the bottom due to rust and things. They lasted around 5 years.
@Wakrak, thanks, I have had bad experiences with second-hand in the past. Hence wanted to get a new one. Black Friday might help with the pricing, hopefully!
For what it’s worth, we were given a second hand Midea top loader around 6-7 years ago, I’ve been waiting for it to die so we can get something bigger, but it still hasn’t missed a beat. We probably use it 2-3 times a week currently.
If you're only doing laundry once a week, would you consider going to the laundromart type? I know it's a hassle that you have to wait there but maybe a good compromise?
Washing machines don't rust - all the internal bits are stainless steel for exactly that reason.
You may have had a leaking seal (which would rust the bearing, which would stop the whole.thing eventually), but even that's pretty unlikely these days. Two is incredibly unlikely. Did you get them checked?
At five years you should be CGAing that thing anyway.

i would suggest LG 7 kg or 7.5 kg front load washer they go around 700 they are direct drive machines very silent very efficient and washes cloths extremely well i had a older lg which i got 2nd hand used it for 5 years or so it was amazing so upgraded , got washer dryer from lg and regular washer amazing machines they are fantastic i also have samsung heatpump we used to wash lots of cloths as house being airbnb
