  • Anything that Rebel Sport stocks, they will beat by 10%.

However this will generally only work in-store, not online. I've asked the online chat about matching Garmin products in the past and they said no, because the store isn't physical. However when I went in-store, they had no problem with it.

And this is $100 cheaper than when I bought the 955 Solar 2 months ago, which Rebel matched and beat, down to $720.

    • Which Rebel store did you go to?

      • Wellington City - Cuba St

    • I have had them do a price beat on a garmin watch over the phone a couple of years ago, so worth trying that avenue if it saves burning some gas and time going to a store

  • Can anyone confirm their Wise Visa card can be used on Garmin Pay? Their website only lists Wise MasterCard.

I have the wise visa working on my forerunner 745

      • Thanks for that

  • Looks like Amazon has them all cheaper if you don't mind waiting a week or two for shipping

  • How do you choose which one to buy? Is there a guide somewhere? There's like a billion models

    • Tom's Guide, Wareble

      DC rainmaker is the best.

    • Personally, I feel the biggest consideration is whether you need a Multisports mode. Do you do Duathlon / Triathlon / SwimRun

If not, then this cuts down the list rather dramatically. Then it's about battery life.

      • Do you need longer than 24hr battery life (although they can charge on the go).

If no again, then you don't need anything fancy-pants. A Forerunner 55 will do the trick

Then it's - Do you need Open Water Swimming. However this question will be covered by if you do Multisport (unless you're the kayaking-type of Multi-sporter)

But yes, as mentioned above - DC Rainmaker has a great tool for putting in some basic selection criteria and you'll be given many options.

  • If you have AIA Vitality you can get another 25% off on this! Makes it an amazing deal.
