Just saw a review which says: "we bought this lamp for our daughters room to use while studying and as an added bonus she shifts it easily to use fully closed as ambient lighting next to her bed." Can I check with someone who owns this - does this mean you can fold the arm down fully so the whole thing is vertical? Thanks OP. Got this lamp about 3 years ago. It works well with no issues. Just bought another one for the study room.
We have this lamp, good for the desk. Although the button/knob has cracked for some reason.
Still works.

Not only is this a great lamp (I just bought a 2nd), the box is the best toy for a kitten we have found yet.
