Swap your Flybuys Points for New World Dollars or New World Gift Cards this Christmas. Points Swap ends Sunday 24 December 2023.

  1. Go to the Flybuys store, check your balance and swap your Points for New World Dollars which get loaded onto your Clubcard.
  2. Set up a PIN number on your Clubcard at clubcard.co.nz or click here to contact us.
  3. You're good to go! Scan your Clubcard through the EFTPOS terminal or scan the digital barcode in your New World app and enter your PIN to pay for groceries in–store.

          Having 112 FB points equals $42 when you purchase 50 litres of fuel with Z Energy Pumped

          This deal would be approx. twice as useful as swapping to NW Dollars !

              @Alan6984: Unfortunately you can't convert you flybuys points to pumped fuel discounts. Spend what you have for now.

              Going forward you should update your flybuys account to swap flybuys points earned to Pumped fuel discounts.

              • Every 4 Flybuys earned = 3c off per litre up to 50L

              When Disney was giving away 300 flybuys points for $1.99 that would equal $2.25 discount per litre.

              Also keep an eye out for other flybuys bonuses with New World, Z Energy etc

              I have filled up my tank on multiple times for only a few dollars as have many other Cheapies user's. This really is the best use of Flybuys points.

                We thought (wrongly ?) one may get $42 Off a 50L Z Fuel purchase, we are wrong ?

                If Z Fuel is really is the best use of Flybuys points how ?

                Flybuys > NW Dollars online eg says:

                28 pts
                Quantity 370
                Total Points 10,360

                NW Club Card loads w/ $1,850 (370 x 5)

                Is that better or worse use of the FB Points than Z Fuel Discounts ?

                    @wowbigdeal: Whats the difference, a few - just genuinely want to understand if there's better usage than using a NW Dollars transfer and buying groceries etc ?

                    Used to use the Points for appliances (and some frivolous toys too truth be told) but really groceries are useful, as is fuel now :)

                      @rolex: If your flybuys account was set to collect pumped rewards rather than flybuys points:

                      Every 4 Flybuys earned = 3c off per litre up to 50L

                      eg 10,000 flybuys points.
                      10,000 ÷ 4 = 2,500.
                      2,500 x 3 = 7,500 converted to pumped points (3¢ per litre).

                      At my local Z Energy station the price of fuel is $2.94 per litre.
                      $147 when I purchase 50 litres.

                      Works out to approximately $3,600 if your flybuys account was collecting pumped points instead of Flybuys points.

                        Can see how 10,000 Flybuys Points becomes $1,850 New World Dollars useable on Club Card In-store straight away.

                        How many cheapies have Flybuys set up to collect Z Pumped Fuel Points instead of New World Dollars and, how's it going, some Real World Examples would be awesome.

                        @wowbigdeal: You do have to watch the expiry on the Z fuel discount though.
                        The fuel discount received expires at the end of the following month. For the Viva promo the fuel discount received in November will expire at the end of December so need to make sure you don't get more than you need.

                        In my case, I have accounts that collect Flybuys and then change the discount to fuel when I enter the promo.
                        Now that I have received the fuel discount I'll switch it back to Flybuys.
                        I normally don't bother with the points swap but that's because I don't shop at New World usually.

                          @bigcheese: You're right, I didn't take that into account at all, completely forgot about it.
                          Best bet for Rolex might be to save up a decent amount of pumped points and spend the points before the expiry date.
                          Never the less the pumped points are the best value for money option.

          How does one use 112 of ones Flybuys points to achieve a $42 Discount on 50 Litres of fuel at Z please ?

          (We get $20 at New World per 112 Flybuys Points, this sounds twice as good).

    Has anyone been able to successfully redeem 28 flybuy points for 5 New World dollars today? When i click the "Add to cart" button, it says "Added" but when I look in the shopping cart, it says there are no items in the cart. So weird… any suggestions?
