Don't forget to try FIRSTTRIP ($10), AIRPORT ($10), COMFORT ($10), WQTMA50 ($50) and may as well try MATARIKI ($20)!

    • Can also try EXPERIENCE ($15)

  • Could anyone share their experience of using Mevo please? We're going to Auckland in a couple of weeks and wondering if we should take a bus to the city to avoid the airport surcharge or is it not worth the hassle? And should we pre-book it?

    • +2

If you're staying in the city, then yes, take the bus.

      • Good to know, I haven't booked my stay yet. Thank you

    • I used it when I was in Wellington last week to go to my destination.

Uber was $15 one way so $30 roundtrip while hiring the car is $22-$30 an hour so I ended up using Mevo (I was only in my destination for 15mins). Great experience, good chance to use one of the newer car (hired Tesla).

If you have 2+ person, perhaps it's handy to hire it to go about rather than bus, however it may be a challenge to find somewhere to park closeby to your destination

      • Interesting, did you not pick up from the airport? I read there's a $30 surcharge.

        • Ended up taking bus to CBD, then on the way back took the Mevo car to airport. Yes, there's airport surcharge ($20 in Wellington) but I was thinking might as well go to the airport with Mevo instead of taking bus again for convenience since I already have the car.

  • Doesn't work if you've had it before.

Hired the Tesla model 3 overnight 13 hours ($60 capped) i must say it was an awesome experience. Racked up 251kms and didnt have to pay for fuel. I returned it to the airport next day and got charged $30 (cant use credit).

    • By going into the 2nd day, do you get another free 200km ?

      • +2

The overnight mode locks you in from 6pm until 8am, with 200km total according to their terms. Not sure how strongly they check the limits, I only did 180km on an overnight with a Polestar.

Probably the best way to experience a car with the credit, as willsbills found. Way better than just a couple hours during the day.

      • I returned before the next day began (8am) to avoid the day charge $30 p/h

If you borrow one of their Tesla's, does this mean you can use Tesla Superchargers (for free?) Has anyone here done this?
(I've looked through their site, but haven't found an answer to this specific question yet)

  • +1

    Can confirm free supercharging ๐Ÿ˜Š
