    • Yes I love them.
      I have bought from both The Avo Tree & Grower Outlet and haven’t had any problems but have used these guys more recently as they were cheaper when I factored in shipping.

    Just noticed that Skincare has free shipping.
    Not sure if adding this lip butter which should come down to $3 with 80% off the $14.99 normal price will make any avos ordered free shipping too?

    • 4 large avocado is 1kg. Medium/small maybe 5.5

    • I refreshed it a couple of times but without success. I had 3 tabs open and finally one stopped spinning and let me go to the payment page.

    • I just got through now.
      In my case I jut kept refreshing until I got the Windcave screen and then the payment went through.
      It is painfully slow though.

      I did the same.
      Skincare gives free shipping for the order so worth getting even if you have no need/care for the skincare product.

    For anyone else still trying to get through:

    • They have obviously not allowed for the increased website traffic so have said they will extend the sale time - not sure for how long.
    • Keep refreshing the page. It took me half an hour to get my order through but got there in the end.
    • Make sure to include a skincare product which comes with free shipping for your order. The cheapest is the lip balm discounted to $3 which is cheaper than paying for shipping.
  • That was so frustrating, crashed at every part, even after my mastercard payment. Went through eventually.

  • Went through finally. Like mentioned above, add a skincare product for free shipping. And if you haven't purchased from AvoTree before also add "15off" for an extra discount.

                @spam: They finally confirmed that it was their system stuff up after emails of copy and paste responses.
                1 email per day is frustrating after emailing them immediately after the email me.

                They will send the avo's later in week apparently. So good end result, but kinda frustrating.
                Would have been great to just call and talk to them to explain to them the issues.

  • Haha sounds like my experience was the same as everyone else; just happy to end up with anything.

    There was a punishing shipping charge ($13+) on my first order of 50 avocados so I changed it to a 5kg box and the shipping was about a third of the price. I live about 15km from the place so go figure…

  • Took a little to place my order and checkout. But other than that, pretty easy. Got 50 large hass avocado box and the avocado face oil serum. Free shipping applied as I added a skin care product.

    Site seems to be ok now and deal is still on. Just got a couple boxes of the jumbo avos, the lip balm for free shipping and code 15OFF for 15% off. I’ve purchased from them a couple years ago using the same email and code seemed to work anyway. Thanks!

    It took 40 painful minutes to place my order but manged to get through and received an email confirmation.
    I then decided to go back and placed a few more "surprise" orders for family and friends to receive. Managed to place 4 orders in total, all with free shipping.

  • Super happy, definitely required persistence to get the order through but what a deal! Adding the lip balm got me free shipping and I really needed a natural lip balm so I am very much looking forward to my order!

      Store in fridge, only take out to room temperature a few days before consumption. Should last a month.

      Smoothie is a good way to use it if you have many ripe at the same time.

    Bit unfortunate, as I cannot buy anything near to what I originally ordered of course. Still nice to get some credit though, not every company will do that I guess.

  • I only finished my second order at 8.57pm (10 avocado, hand cream & lip balm). They arrived this morning. No dispatch email for first order yet. Hopefully it's not being cancelled too.

    • 8:57pm. Somehow I dont think they canceled the orders by time. Seems strange they would extend the promotion time yet my order completed 2 min into the sale was canceled as oversold. I think I will stick to buying in person.

        The deal was open for everyone but the fact that your order was cancelled when you made it only two minutes into the sale makes me wonder.
        My order was completed about 8.10pm but I did make an order with them a couple of weeks prior so not sure if that has bumped me up the queue.

        • Yes I am guessing they prioritised existing customers. This was my first order. Glad I didnt waste much time though as I made an account earlier in the day and it only took me a few mintues to get the order through. Saved me money canceling at the end of the day as I ordered one large box (no skincare) and planned on giving most away. I did get an email saying avo on the way on Tuesday so guessing that was an automated email not linked to anyone sending off a box. Have a moan on here and leave it at that.

          • @Robbert: First time customer here, I received both orders now. One placed at 7.56pm and one at 8.57pm. So not sure why they randomly cancelled people's orders?

            • @Superpower21: Maybe they cancelled them in the opposite order. The sale was a decable.

  • I did 1 order of skincare and avocados and skincare, which was accepted and I received a confirmation email. Still waiting to hear of a dispatch date.
    Says completed on my account.
    Second order of skincare for my daughter was accepted, confirmation email and a track and trace email, was delivered yesterday.

      Received my first order today.
      My second order will be dispatched later, presuming that they got hammered and didn't have an auto out of stock.

      Hopefully you will receive your avocados soon, they aren't ready to eat on arrival anyhows.

      On a side-note, if they haven't organised before hand, they will be capped with how many items they can lodge with Courier Post. Since covid, businesses generally can't just absolutely slam the couriers, they will cap the amount unless organised. (I don't know caps)

  • I managed to complete my order and get the confirmation email at 8:14pm Sunday, i have only just received email this evening to say order will be delivered tomorrow. I have purchased from them once before but have not created an account. I ordered 20large avos and lip balm

      Both of my orders showed completed on dashboard. I got a confirmation email for both orders saying: Thanks for your order. Your payment for order has now completed, please find your invoice attached.

      Our team will box up your fresh goodness as soon as we can! Once your order is packed and collected by the courier you will receive an email from NZ Post with your tracking number.
      One order I received a tracking and got delivery of it.
      The other order I am still waiting for.
      Did wonder if the completed on dashboard relates to the payment going through.
      Communication from them could be better.

  • Apologies for our slow communication regarding your order. We have been working through a huge backlog of emails. Thank you for taking up your time on Sunday evening to order in our big sale. We understand it must have been frustrating as our website did not perform under the enormous amount of traffic and orders being placed. During the intensity of our sale our website also did not stop selling selected box sizes and products when inventory levels had run out. For example, our 50 large was limited to 100 boxes, but the website continued to sell well beyond that. The same for our skin care products.

    Due to this we are very sorry to say we are not able to fulfil your order and will issue a full refund. We will add $20 + the equivalent sale total of your skin care products to your loyaltree dollar account which you can redeem on your next purchase as a gesture of goodwill.

    Ah well, unlucky. Got refunded $23 in credit.

    Mine got shipped, arriving Monday most likely. I ordered about 8:15pm and was not an existing subscriber so maybe I was lucky.

    The free shipping with lip balm surely was an error though; makes no sense to offer a free product + $3.99 cart discount simply by combining items. Although admittedly I ended up buying more than 1 balm.
