Any Long Weekend Laptop Deals? Budget $900

Mates laptop died he's in urgent need of a replacement tomorrow budget $900. No gaming, but does some sound recording, and looking for min 16gb memory. Any recommendations. I've had a look this past hour came across this:

    Ah yea was a aging laptop maybe 8 years old. Just best bang for buck really under $900.

  I would tell him to go instore and have a play with the display models if any are setup, you never know how the screen quality/colour is until you see them in person.

  I got a few weeks old 2nd apple m1air for 900 i had got the same one new months ago it's amazing
