Handheld low flow shower head recommendation

We rent in a two story place (one flat upstairs and us on street level) and recently the water reduction valve for the property was adjusted to get more pressure upstairs. As a result we have very high water pressure through all our taps. Plus the tiny rubber like nozzles on the existing shower head are disintegrating and I'm sure it's outputting a lot more water than is necessary i.e. higher electricity bill.

What's a good low flow handheld shower head? I gather the main difference, to make them low flow, is combining the water with air so you get a similar stream but less water flowing through.

I currently use Methven shower head (2nd hand off trademe) and been great. I believe I have mains pressure which should be the same as your "high water pressure" but I'm a novice DIY so perhaps somebody can chime in on that.

    • We have mains pressure but apparently there's normally a pressure reducing valve for each property, as straight mains pressure is too high. The plumber adjusted the valve so we have much higher pressure than we did previously.

The methven satinjet are good, they come with a few different flow restrictors so you can adjust how many litres it uses

Aliexpress has lots of them if local ones are expensive.
