Whats on Your Wishlist to Buy ?

Things you need to but being a cheapie you just will not pay that price ( Non X-mas items please)
If common items are on the wish list, we can perhaps haggle with the retailer on volume purchases. Or maybe , just maybe word will get to them to drop the price

    • Ryobi 18V ONE+ Compact Power Scrubber
    • Dyson Vaccum stand ( dont like making holes in the drywall)
    • Diamond ring for my partner
  • 42 lg c2 for cheap

Would pass on LG OLED they burn too easy.

      • Ive seen mixed experiences online.

I wouldn't really be using it for gaming or high brightness things too often, so not sure how itd go

        • (admins delete if not allowed)

I have a 48' MZ980 still in box (from Harvey Norman, with warranty) that I'd sell for around $2k if you can pick up from the Manawatu.

      • Not according to tests and not my personal experience. The sony ones seem to burn in the eaiset.

        • They said plasmas would burn in easy as well, had my panasonic for 15 years and was still going strong, but decided to upgrade

    • 42” C3 for $1996 with $200 gift card. Not sure if that counts as cheap lol

      • Actually not too bad.

but, it's cheapies.nz it's historic low or the highway! and c2 was $1200 last year

Waiting for NVIDIA to release a new Shield.

  • Few things on my list. Depending on the expense some might end up again on wishlist.

  • Marble run for the preschooler - can't decide if a magnetic tile one is best, to compliment his magnetic tiles, or a duplo style one to compliment the duplo set! Let alone the size of the set. Deals for these exist but they are weird importers or resellers and shipping cost is all over the place.

For me, a soundbar with google audio compatibility is still needed. Maybe black friday.

    • What about a wooden one? We have a box of Hape pieces which are good quality. The kids really enjoyed playing with them but have probably outgrown them now (ages 7 and 5).

  • need a lawnmower, bosch electric crapped out. need to claim warranty on that

want a dual monitor setup for working from home

  • Where to start, and to be fair this is actually wants rather than needs…..

A Dyson stick vac, keep missing the deals and there’s a fair few model options so not sure which one to bite the bullet on

Samsung q990c soundbar or a couple Home Pods. I watch everything through the Apple TV but Mrs likes the Samsung remote and apps through the TV interface. Gut says go for the Samsung and I have access to the “partners store” but it’s still a hella lot

KEF LSX 2’s. Running my laptop and super wide screen with a couple Echos using the line ins, with appropriate cable to split the channels. It’s good but occasionally, once or twice a week, the audio doesn’t sync between the two speakers so I have to switch both speakers to line out then back to line in to correct. KEF look the nuts, but perhaps overkill. I did try Audioengine A5+ previously but had a dud pair which put me off trying them again.

More Eufy stuff. Door lock with cams built in and a couple more outdoor cams. But I have spent a fair bit on their products recently.

Archgola or similar to go over the deck. Looked at it a couple years ago but had other priorities. Still do but I think it will be the next house upgrade, at some point.

Nomatic.com - something for work trips, a good functional carry on, as looks like I may be doing a few flights and overnights in the coming months

    Hexclad pans

    • Aah totally forgot about Samsung q990c which has been on my list for a while, but spent my budget on other stuff including N100 mini pc & Eufy's. plus waiting for other things mentioned above.

  • A beer brewing setup that makes commercial quality beer. By that i mean it filters out the yeast and carbonates the beer. Looking at this one
    https://www.harveynorman.co.nz/whiteware/kitchen/personal-br…
Made home brew beer many times and tried everything theres no getting away from the strong yeast taste

    • I use fermzilla that has a chub collector and also filter when filling.
      Havent used finings yet.

      Setup works great for IPA's

  • Samsung galaxy watch 6 for cheap. Hopefully a deal comes through soon!

  • iPhone 15 Pro….. Normal 15 isn’t good enough to justify an upgrade from my XS Max, also hard to justify spending >2K on a phone. Only saving grace would be if Spark extend their $600 off promo to the Pro line of devices; then I’d bite.

You should have gone 14 pro max instead, best phone for under 2k.

  • Underdesk treadmill. Torpedo 7 cancelled my order so need to get another one.
    Any recommendations?

  • Sony SA-RS3S
    Theragun Mini (2nd Gen)
    Audioengine A5+ Wireless

  • A Pixel of some variety. I see people are offloading their 7s for the incoming 8, so I might just go used for one of those

    • I have a seven.

      the 8 looks mighty tempting!

  • A longhorn BBQ. Hoping tradetested have a black Friday sale. These seem to be one of the few that are entirely stainless
