Typically sold out early in most stores as stock is limited each day.

I've found the Lunn Ave store to be the best stocked because the eggs are quite hard to find, unlike some of the other stores where eggs are at the forefront of the store.

  • $8.99 @ Pak and Save - 18x eggs - Farmer Brown Cage Free Size 6 18 Barn Eggs 945.

    • Guessing that's in Dunedin? Was going to add it to my list above but thought I'd just focus on what TWH stocks instead.

Yup, sorry should have mentioned that. THW down here almost never had any eggs so have given up going in, P&S and THW here share the same carpark in Dunedin.

Beat price I have seen in some time.

  • Does this mean the prices of eggs has settled now?

    • Nope, not until they're down to $0.30 each (size 7).

That will never happen again in NZ, unless they bring back caged eggs. Cost to produce is way too high even with colony caged, 50cents each for size 6 is the best you can hope for under current legislation.

Have faith, Why Knot is selling a tray of 30 eggs for $10 (size unknown), as long as consumers work hard together against price gouging, I'm sure we can achieve 30c size 7 eggs.
