Had an email today saying the price for Premium plan is going to TL199.99 from 20th October from current price of TL130.99
Thats about $8.20 to $12.50, quite a jump in % terms.
Presume other plans may see a rise too.
Does this change the game, any other countries worth looking at?

Hey, can someone who's using US Netflix and watching it through DNS4ME let me know if The Pacific series is still showing available? It appears all my Netflix apps - whether on AppleTV, Ipad or Laptop - have defaulted to the "global" Netflix version. Cant seem to get the NZ Netflix version showing, ass the menu doesnt show "Top 10 movies in NZ today" or force it back to the US version.
I'm asking about The Pacific series as that only went on to Netflix US recently and was showing for me up until yesterday so doubt its been removed so quickly.

How's using Netflix India compared to Turkey ?
So my turkey sub rolled over fine for 6 months of billing and now Netflix has decided to delete my credit card details so they could try to force me to cancel the sub and pay the full nz price. After entering CC details and agreeing to ~150TR they again want to verify a turkish phone number by SMS again but none fo the sites I used previously work, netflix just throws the same error right number format or not.
Any workaround for this? If I cancel, will the giftcard route work again? 1 month sub using NZ card full price then cancel sub and redeem Turkish code with VPN active and hopefully not get ph number prompt forced on me?
I have always just used giftcards from Turgame. Bought some more last week and it worked fine.
If you have gift card credit on your account it uses this first before attempting to debit a card if necessary, so I wouldn’t think you need to cancel. first. I don’t even use a VPN at all - buy a gift card and apply it to the account. The VPN was only used once to subscribe via Turkey initially a couple of years ago.
Will have to buy another GC and see if it still req the sms activation..
I had this exact problem and spent hours and hours trying to fix it. What solved it for me was an ozbargain post that suggested using the shitty inbuilt Netflix app on your smart TV (I have a Hisense) to add a new credit card, rather than doing it on your phone, PC or Chromecast app.
It was a bit of a pain to enter the CC number using the remote but it worked a treat. I added my Wise card and now it's billed directly in TL directly from there. No VPN hijinx or SMS activation required at all.
What did you end up doing on this one?
Haha… I'm thinking of just giving it up entirely.
It's a big jump as a percentage but still heaps cheaper than going through Netflix NZ.

There are other countries that are cheaper now, although they are more difficult to get a working solution.
Also, Turkey still has not implemented the account sharing restrictions so I'm happy to stay for the moment.
