Musashi Choc Peanut Butter Protein Cookie 58g $1.49 @ PNS, Moorhouse (+ Pricematch TWH or $1.28 via Pricebeat Bargain Chemist)

60

Great price on these protein cookies at Pak n Save Moorhouse (Christchurch). Not sure of the usual price at PNS, but price seems to range from $3.49 to $6.10.

Potential for price match at The Warehouse, or price beat at Bargain Chemist.

Bargain Chemist should price match from $3.59 to $1.49, then subtract 10% of the difference ($0.21), bringing these down to $1.28.

  • i dont know how people are able to pricematch anything at bargain chemist, i went there last week to pricematch the musasahi protein powder and they said they cant do it because they only pricematch from other pharmacys and not supermarkets, and she showed me the priematch promise on her computer screen and she was right thats eactly what it said.

    • Try chemist warehouse, but their discount/amount varies by who serves you

      • ok yeah there is no chemist warehouse in upper hutt just bargain chemist

      • Just remember, Chemist warehouse will only allow one price matched item, IE: one cookie.

        • They seem to change the rules depending on who serves you. Even the discount on the same item changes. If pak n sav still has the deal 2mro ill go see what my local chemist warehouse gives me

          • @quote: chemist wareouse or bargain chemist?

            • @ggallin: Chemist warehouse, but don't think i will anymore, the 2 reviews here dnt sound great

Any review on this cookie? Is it nice?

Tbh I tried this cookie as the Chemist Warehouse were giving them away a few months back and I thought it was actually so gross. Strange dry texture and didn't taste nice either. I don't use protein powder so can't comment on that comparatively with other protein supplements but yeah, 1/10 as a cookie! And it wasn't even expired!

      • Thank you so much.

Morning, just tried one this morning - I'd say 7.5/10 as a protein cookie, not the best I've tried but pretty good overall. I definitely wouldn't buy in place of a Cooke Time, but definitely a good option for a sweet treat if you're looking to get more protein in.

      • Thank you.

Just price match at the Warehouse. Its already a bargain

  • Warehouse have made it online out of stock. AKA their tactic to stop online pricematch requests.

    • I would have thought they would deny you anyway since ‘grocery’ items cannot be matched online?

      • That's what I thought too, but I suspect they consider it to be a 'supplement'

        • Even in-store, some maangers are shocked by the price difference and dish out any reason to not honour the price promise. I was told that Warehouse doesn't match prices to supermarkerts becauses of their volumetric discounts.

So I was able to get an online match, by essentially complaining about this "lie" told by the managers.

        • Just tried warehouse online (as there were 3 available for pickup at my local) Aroha said that its a grocery item, i said its more of a supplement, they laughed and sent me a link about petfood being a grocery, so im not sure what happened.

  • i just pricematched 1 online

    • But petfood is a grocery (if that confuses you then welcome to the club, im still not sure what the point the agent was trying to make)

  • I price matched 10 online with The Warehouse. Personally I think they’re pretty tasty, will probably buy more at $1.49 each. Great deal

    • When did that many become available online?

      • 12pm yesterday

        • I try at least 10 times a day and have never had any luck!

  • Ive noticed TWH have it in a 2 for bundle deal, which means they don’t have to price match. I’ve had this before and they refused because it’s already ‘on sale’ with them, even though it’s still more expensive. Just another way they get around having to price match.
