great brand, I have a couple for my emulation setup and my steam deck

edit: only thing I'd say is that for longevity, you'd want the 8BitDo Ultimate (https://www.amazon.com/Ultimate-Bluetooth-Controller-Chargin…) which has hall effect joysticks. These ones will eventually break down faster depending on use

  • I guess I could use this one as my second pro controller on the switch.

  • Could also try price-matching at Mighty Ape.

  • Was Co sidering this but just use xbox controllers, is there a positive to using this I stead?

    • Extra buttons on the back and massively customisable through software, multiple profiles able to be used for different games, able to be used with switch and Mac.

Also some just prefer the “Playstation” rather than “Xbox” stick layout.

I have one of these and it is great, but will probably look at getting an Ultimate due to the offset stick position and this will become my player 2 controller.

    • Main difference is the button layout and platforms it works on, 8bitdo wireless tends to be switch, android and PC and won't work on an Xbox or PlayStation unless it's a specific model made for them.

I'd love it if they could offer 2.4ghz dongles for each console with their ultimate model even if I had to buy it so I could buy one nice controller and the dongle makes it compatible with all the consoles. The temptation to get an Xbox elite one with an 8bitdo dongle so it works on the switch as well.

  • BestDeals increased the price the cheeky buggers.

    • So they did, applied for a price match at mightyape too.. Bugger
