Isn't it still a month away from beginning? Good to see some games free.

  • Using One NZ internet I couldn't watch any of the Stuff world cup games. Blocked on region (not using VPN). Was hoping their stream would be better than Sky Sport Now (which is 1080 but very low bitrate).

Sky Go is so much better than Sky Sport Now for streaming quality.

      • Really bro?
How do I get Sky GO then? Is it a different subscription?
I would like to know more. I find Sky Sport streaming quality very subpar.
Would love to have a better quality streaming.

        • You need to have the decoder in order to get Sky Go.
In my case, my parents watch it using the decoder and I use their Sky Go access to stream it.
I’m not sure why they use a different platform for Sky Sport Now but having used both I know what you mean when you say it is subpar.

          • @bigcheese: Here’s a tip if you don’t already. Use Matt Huismans kodi add on for skygo

            • @Hayce Irri: Curious, what is the benefit for using the kodi add-on?
              Thanks

              • @monkey: Just gives you the ability to watch SkyGo on your TV if you have an Android box. I have it as well on my Minix Neo-U9H.

                • @Wakrak: oh ok, thanks.
I just cast it to the tv. Dunno if there is any difference picture wise, my 50+ yr old eyes cant tell the difference, lol

                  • @monkey: If you run it through kodi you can easily rewind back 2 hours. In case you’re late to a game or wanna see a replay again etc

                • @Wakrak: And do you need a sky subscription? 🤔

            • +1

              @Hayce Irri: That's exactly what I do.
Kodi add-on through my Nvida Shield Pro.

    • I am on 2degrees and was able to watch on stuff (FIFA games) with no hiccups

Like the “if qualify” in the fine print

They know what Foster is capable of

      • +1

        .. or rather incapable of

  • Not 100% related, but I've been watching the FIFA Women's World Cup 2023's matches on Prime channel 15 LIVE. The image quality is superb, since it's Freeview (no streaming).

Aside from them shifting the schedules around a few times, it's been good coverage. They'll have some RWC matches on free to air (probably the same ones!)

  • ITV have all the games in the UK on their ITVX app. Just need a VPN to watch.
