  Am I correct in understanding that if you already have an ASB card (eg platinum visa), you could get a different credit card (eg visa light) and still be eligible for the gift card?

      Yep, saw that.
      To me the word "respective" suggests that if you hold/have held one of the other cards but open up a new type, you'd still be eligible? But I'm not 100%.

  As with tribernate, I believe the definition means that if the customer has not held that respective "type of card" before in the last 12 months, (e.g. already hold 2 types of the 3 cards), then the customer should be able to apply for the 3rd and last type of card for the reward. I sent a secure message to confirm. In this case, the reward is limited to one reward type (hence only 1 card) in this round.

      Yes confirmed. Existing ASB card members can apply for other cards not had for past 12 months. But each person should inquire via secure message to confirm their situation. I have the learned experience that ASB's first line of responses are handled by lesser experienced staff members (who think they know enough to handle your inquiry entirely without checking with another) and only got the reply below from a senior customer specialist. So you may have to push the inquiry forward again if you do not get the response.

      You will be eligible, if you proceed to open a new Visa rewards card, and have not had this type of CC within the 12 month period of which you have already stated.

      It cannot be a product transfer (ie existing CC changed over) and as long as you meet the spend criteria you are good to go.

  Read the fine print:
  "Countdown Vouchers will be paid by 15 December 2023, the credit card account must be open at time of sending the Gift Card."
  So your account needs to be open for 4 months to get this "christmas present".

    I don't know why they take such a long time to pay out these rewards. Many people would forget about it.
