Best iPad for kids

Anyone got any advice on iPads?!

Looking at getting the 9th gen one but not sure if it will soon be unable to be updated on iOS etc? Not really sure how that works.

Also 64gb or 256gb for kids?

Will be used for some educational games, stories and the odd movie or Netflix.

  • We have ipad mini 5th gen, 64gb for each child. Good size for travelling, they download netflix movies and episodes and they are full of games, no problems with storage yet.

The ipad minis were much cheaper when we bought them than they are now

  • same as above, ipad mini with one of the foam type cases. Been dropped daily without damage.

  • It's still getting the most recent iOS and will probably get a couple years. 64gb doesn't go far.

128 is where I like to be.

  • I am using 9th gen ipad 64gb for kids. They are small so not much apps as such. It's mostly youtube or Netflix. Older one uses some apps but no issues. I got the cheapest ipad due to risk of it getting crack screen. Go with bigger capacity one if you are going to install apps/games. They do add up quite fast.

  • Ipad air M1 64gb with logi folio is enough if you read books basic web stuff connects with external display works well as mini computer , 256 gb if you offline store videos .

Minis with a strong case is also a. Good idea but it's not a close computer replacement for kids it's more like content consumption device but it's easy on kids hands

I will get the new 12 inch OLED M2 paid pros when they will be out as they will be great for reading etc .

Chomebook also has a lot of functionality and they are also convertible but not as powerful
