DNS service to get Kayo working in NZ

What would be the best way to go about this?

I typically use DNS4ME, but I just got a message from them last night stating that they have to cease support for Kayo due to an inability to source an unblocked Australian server.

Kayo is quite aggressive in blocking servers.

With DNS4ME, I just changed the DNS settings on my router. Easy peasy.

I like the quality of the Kayo stream and the fact that it works 9.9 times out of 10. So it would be nice to get it going again. I typically watch Kayo through Kodi.

    Following. How did they communicate this to you as there doesn’t seem to have been an email to all or general notice? I see Kayo is no longer listed under DNS4ME services, so not looking good..

      On Geekzone. One thread in particular focuses on DNS4ME & Kayo (it’s in a secret area though). Two staff members often respond in that thread.

        Ah, interesting. Have been on GZ since 2010. Sounds like I’ve been missing out all this time haha.

        Fingers crossed someone has exp with a working alternative. Have been using Kayo + DNS4ME since Kayo came out and it’s been rock solid. Will be a shame if this is the end.

      I was going to suggest Foxtel Now but I see they've also been removed from the supported services

    Bugger. Doesn't affect me too much as I only use Kayo occasionally. Pretty sure I've also been unable to watch it using VPN (Surfshark) as Kayo have blocked those servers too.

    Oh man I would dearly like to find an alternative to dns4me too. I’m really missing Kayo. The picture quality, reliability and UI (not perfect) is far superior to Sky Sports Now. SSN is pixelated and just not good viewing.

    I'm intrigued as to how DNS4Me (or similar) work without you getting certificate errors warning of a potential man-in-the-middle attack?

    Are they getting users to install their own Root Certificate? If so, … {Shudder}, but that seems unlikely?

    Now working with NordVPN but it hasn't been the greatest (watched the Warriors vs. Sharks). In saying that, it could just be my internet playing up.

            @curiousb: Do you have Nord? If not, I can test it now. If I'm able to log into my account online, then theoretically it's still working.

    Anyone tried any of these DNS services overseas to access NZ specific content eg TVNZ+?
