Sony Store Tips and Tricks?

I've seen posts around Sony Store partner pricing, and that you used to be able to get it through a spark email address, but that is no longer working.

I'm looking at getting two pairs of xm4s and was wondering if there are any current tips and tricks with the Sony site that's worth exploring

Hey, yeah unfortunately after that deal Sony disabled and then reworked the partner portal.

There is however a way to get special pricing if you have previous Sony headphones. Contact support and inform them they're damaged and then will offer you a discount on new headphones.

Currently XM4s are $300 and XM5s are $340 via this method.

    • Any proof needed with that or any level of Sony headphones?

      • Hey, can't provide too much information but I've used it twice previously:

Years ago with MDR-1ADAC, was offered flat 40% discount and had to call to order.

Just this week with XM4s was offered the above prices and they discount the product in your cart now.

I've always provided serial numbers so not sure if they require that or not.

        • Reckon this would work for a new tv? Lol

          • @Martz5: Go in store and it works a treat.
Just tell them you have an old Sony and it’s upgrade time and don’t know what you want etc.
Then when you settle on a model tell them the lowest price on pricespy or whatever and they’ll either match it or beat it and give you free install and delivery. (If you know what you want, do this before hand)
Brother in law did this a few days ago and go the 85” x90k for 3.8k with delivery and install.

        I tried this recently.

It's designed to be a trade-in scheme rather than a flat-out discount. On delivery there is another return box for your "damaged" product.

        • Weird, I didn't get any return box or instructions to return the old ones and it has been over a month.

          • @0o0: Interesting. I was given this information when I receive the email with the different pricings.

    • Hmmm, I do have a very old pair somewhere…. but probably in $100 range brand new 10 years ago… so doubt they'd even acknowledge me!! Thanks for the tip any way :)

  • They price-match any retailer and free express deliver it with DHL.

    • not any RETAILER. only their approved retailer. their distributors
