ANZ Platinum Airpoints Visa - No Fee First Year, Complimentary Domestic One Way Flight

80

Got an email from AirNZ with the above offer, might be of use to someone.

Couldn't find the income requirement, so not sure what it is. It may be a good card to get if you want to get away from someone permanently also!

  • Earn 1 Airpoints Dollarâ„¢ for every $75 spent on eligible purchases.
  • Pay no annual card fee for the first 12 months (normally $150, charged $75 half-yearly).
  • Enjoy two complimentary single entry Air New Zealand Lounge passes for every $20,000 you spend on eligible purchases each year.
  • Earn 1 Status Point for every $250 spent on eligible purchases.
  • Pay no Koru joining fee, and save $145 on your annual membership fee.
  • Receive Overseas Travel Insurance* when you use your card for at least half your pre-paid travel expenses.
  1. The Complimentary One Way Domestic Flight (Flight) offer and 1 year annual fee waiver are available for all new and approved ANZ credit card customers who open a new ANZ Airpoints Visa Platinum card between 5th October 2015 and 31 December 2015 and who spend at least $1000 on Eligible Purchases on this card within the first 3 months of the card being open (Eligibility Criteria). Transfers from existing ANZ credit cards will not be eligible for this offer. Offer is not available if you currently hold an ANZ Airpoints Visa or ANZ Airpoints Visa Platinum card or have closed one within the previous twelve months. Offer is only available once per customer (not available on multiple cards). If you transfer or cancel your new ANZ Airpoints Visa Platinum card before redeeming or becoming eligible for your Flight you will become ineligible for this benefit.

  • So I could sign up, and get the flight and cancel?

    • Well, sign up, spend $1,000, get the flight, and then cancel, I don't see any reason why you couldn't.
