Those are the physical cartridge version; this is the digital version for those of us who don’t want to keep losing tiny cards. The Nintendo franchise games very rarely go on sale on the eshop.

Physical cards on Switch are much superior to digital. Feels retro having a collection of switch games at hand. Plus the fact that Nintendo lines the switch cards with a foul-taste so babies spit it right out is just such an awesome idea lol

Not to mention they just shut down the e-shop for the Wii U and 3DS this year (and the Wii back in 2019)

Meaning there is no way to purchase new games for those consoles online anymore, although you could still download them if you had already purchased. Then they spent like half of last year unable to download the Wii games at all.

I would not trust Nintendo to pull that act again in the future and make it a pain or impossible to download digital purchases.

For a console like the switch I'd stick with cartridges and invest in a carry/storage case for your console and cartriges

        • I'm glad you have your opinion, have fun with your cart collection!

Who still plays that super Mario bro now!? That’s a very old game like 7 years old game. You should have played it long time ago.

Great, you have an opinion, well done. Why waste your energy caring if someone else wants to buy it?

    • It's becoming very popular again, sales are through the roof!
