Been with CebuPacific and they are one of the budget airlines in Philippines. From like other airlines, could be a hit or miss.

1h 10min to transfer from your Cebu Pacific flight to your Air Asia flight in Sydney is cutting it very fine. Not sure that Cebu Pacific would have great on time performance and you certainly wouldn't want to be transferring with checked baggage!

I would rather pay double to somebody else than to fly Cebu Pacific internationally or Air Asia

Locally in Philippines Cebu Pacific is ok and maybe Air Asia.

The cheapies advice from me is any Qantas deal.

I've done Cebu pacific within the Philippines and also Manila to Melbourne. No problems whatsoever.
