Used this mouse for about 3 years in the past before i switched to the g502 wireless. Best mouse ever.

      As long as your it department let's you install g hub it's good for productivity. Pretty much able to map anything you want including macros to each button and you can set one button to be a shift key that means the rest can hold two functions. I custinises the hell out if mine with a software my old job used that let me create shortcuts for everything and I didn't use the menu system again once it was set up properly.

    My only gripe with this mouse is that it develops double clicking issues after a year or two of use. Had to get one replaced under warranty. In the end when it fell out of warranty I ended up just purchasing a couple black kailh gm 8.0 switches off aliexpress and soldering them onto the PCB.

    I've only seen them at around the $75 mark the lowest so this is indeed a fantastic find.

    Currently wireless G502X Pro which uses new optical switches now which is alot more pricier but hopefully will last through years of heavy use.

    • this makes me want to keep my current classic G502 since other than plastic wear it works fine.

    • Had exactly the same issue and a guy at work had the same with his mx master as well. The switches just wear out on them eventually. I got mine replaced under warranty as it didn't even last a year of use.

    • I had the same issue and then it resolved itself so i'm still using it years later. Probably had it for over 5 years now.
