Bug a Salt Fly Gun

Hi
Just wondering are these a cool present for young men? Also where is the best/cheapest place to buy them?

Comments

  • Definitely a cool present. An air rifle or good pistol will also blow flies apart without a slug bullet just from the air pressure. But these look more fun

    • Lol. A shotgun shell loaded with rock salt will do it too, but running around with a shotgun or air rifle shooting flys may be going a little overboard ;)

  • +1

I have one and so does a friend. We both agreed on how satisfying it is shooting flies. My daughter finds it gross though, if you shoot one by an adjacent wall it can be kinda gross (awesome).
I got one from their official website https://www.bugasalt.co.nz/ when they were on special over a year ago. I can't recall the price though.

  • The Market also has a model for $89.99. Add $10.01 worth of goods you may need to make up $100 and you can get $10 off with the relevant coupon.

  • Why am I only finding out about this product now ;)

  • Got my sister one for her birthday… she lives on a horse farm so plenty of cannon fodder around - definitely worth it

  • heard about it on a podcast a while back. they were raving about it then got bored quickly lol

  • Looks like Macvad imports them and sells them as a side hustle on the Bug-A-Salt website: https://www.bugasalt.co.nz/

Macvad are wholesale importers who supply the likes of Bunnings, M10, TWH, etc. I'd say they're probably one of the only ones to supply locally but it will be cheaper to order from overseas.

Might be better to get it locally though for warranty purposes.

    • Not sure it would be that much cheaper, if at all, ordering from abroad. Amazon has the 3.0 version on sale for USD 34.95 but with all the fees its $105NZD landed

edit OK, they are on AliExpress, if the real deal and not knock offs, for $62 inc shipping
