Friends who went recently were disappointed
There's a restaurant called Orbit at the top of the Sky Tower. I've been there a few times and the food was great, although that was many many years ago. You get to watch the view there as well and I personally find it really nice having dinner at the table by the window, you just watch the view change as it orbits around.
I went there just last week and the Orbit restaurant is still great. It's pricey, but you do get quite a lot of food, and everything was delicious. Good service as well :)
If you have time to waste and for only $17.50, why not? Not sure what people are expecting. You go up and see the views. Unless the glass is so dirty that you can’t see anything..
Thanks OP, grabbed a couple each of adult and child singles for $53 with the code. We’re in the Tron and only recently promised our two kids we’d take a trip up to AKL during the summer holidays and go up the sky tower (although that was before I realised it was $80+ for a family pass..)
We went up recently.. wasn’t much up there to be honest. Whatever you do not no park in the Skycity parking!! It’s soo crazy expensive I think it was $16 an hour or something ..
Got one but I just noticed they increased adult pass from $65 to 105. That's steep increase
I've lived in Auckland my whole life, think I've been up there maybe once when I was little but don't remember it.
Is it worth going up? Hubby's bday is on Sunday (free admission) so it would only cost $17.5 for the two of us - wondering if it's worth the effort of going into town.
