Hi friends.. I'm looking to sign up for an unlimited broadband by next week. Is NOW broadband any good?? They have a lot of positive reviews for their customer service.. thought I'd check in with everyone..
They're also offering 6 months half price but have a high early termination fee of $299.
Any thoughts??
Is the connection fine? The reviews on broadband compare have a trend of getting connection issues and drastically worse speeds after joining.
I was thinking to go powershop for the power so no contract but this one worked to eventually $67/mnth. Slingshot has recent poor reviews on broadband compare, so Im a bit hesitant
NO! Stay away. Pathetic support. Terrible broadband speed - high latency and massive slowdown, up and down speeds. No interest when repeatedly logged support request with them for this. Ended up spending $250 to break my contract .
Joined three minutes before posting, and no other activity at all.
I have never been with Now so I cannot comment on their support, but I have never heard anything bad myself.
Been with NOW for exactly 2 years this month. Rock solid, averaging about 500Gb downloaded per month. Contacted them once early on over a minor issue, was sorted promptly. No complaints from me.

Been browsing here for a long time , never registered as there was no need. However my experience with NOW was so bad that i had to comment.
I have email and escalations with their service desk to prove as well as my $250 contract breaking invoice if you doubt anything im saying.
I cannot comment on NOW outside of my experience and im sure other people will have had a good experience with them , unfortunately i was not one of them.

i just came off skinny 6 months free deal, i've moved onto Slingshots $57.95 per month for the first 12 months on 12 month contract. This works out cheaper than x months free or x months half price promo around (then they shaft you with $89 per month nonsense).
You might be able to get cheaper if you bundle power with Slingshot or go with another provider that bundles power. But you will need to calculate the per kwh and daily fees, i suspect many of them dont actually work out cheaper due to higher power rates.
