2Degrees going to retail electricity

2Degrees media release talking about them entering the retail electricity market under their own brand. Can't seem to find anything on their website yet.

Relevant info from the article:

At launch we have a good offer. It’s competitively priced, and we haven’t got multiple rate cards that we use to cross-subsidise our broadband plans like some of the bundled power providers cheekily do.

The next challenge for us is to bring interesting offers that make power pricing fairer for Kiwis. 2degrees isn’t afraid of a challenge and is committed to bringing something new to the table for New Zealand electricity customers

Nice, will be good to see what they come up with.

Overall good for the market I believe, I do believe more companies are trying to tie in multiple services into a single service/contract as they struggle to hold their customers or grow.

  • Rates are now live - must be bundled with broadband but you get $20 off/month https://www.canstarblue.co.nz/phone-internet/broadband/2degr…
