Is this a direct flight. I remember flying to la and it was 12hours flight. This is a 16hour flight. Am i missing something here?

Mytrip.com (the lowest fare advertised on Beatthatflight) has some horrible reviews so I booked my flights to LA through flight centre for roughly the same price.
