There have been a few changes to node subscription options recently.
We added a new subscription option, which was for top-level comments + replies to my comments. So all the available options are:
- all comments - this will include every comment in that thread, including all nested comments.
- replies to my comments - this will only include direct replies to your comments in the thread. (Was: replies to me, and for OP included top-level comments)
- top-level comments + replies to my comments - this will include all top-level comments and direct replies to your comments in the thread
- no notifications
Note that the second option used to be 'replies to me' had different behaviour for the original poster as it would include top-level comments and any replies to the OP's comments. Non OPs would only be notified for replies to their comment. In order to preserve the behaviour for OPs who subscribed to the old 'replies to me' option, we have automatically upgrade existing OP subscriptions for nodes created in the last 12 months to top-level comments + replies to my comments.
It may be a good time to review your auto-subscribe options under My Account - Subscriptions and update the settings to your personal preference.
