$4.00 Taraura Butter Ends Midnight Tonight

$4.00 Taraura Butter ends midnight tonight according to the MClub (Warehouse app).
It's been running at $4.00 since (about) 11/04/22 https://www.cheapies.nz/node/33119

I've only bought this butter since the promo started and happily have a number of lumps stored in deep freeze.
Fingers crossed they don't jack the price up too much.

Any guesses on what they'll do with prices/promos?

It's currently:
$6.99 at PnS
$7.80 at CD

It would be chat (interesting) if they came out with their own butter. I was somewhat surprised by the amount of Market Kitchen products that are already on their website.

    • Hadn't thought of that. Would be a great addition to the range.

Looks like they are going the Aldi way, which is great, I was hoping Costco would make Aldi and the likes take a second look at NZ

  • lol they're trying to make it look a bit more special by making a weekly offer rather than a monthly offer.

    • Very special haha

      • I will not be surprised if they have a Market Kitchen special (via MarketClub) every week or every other week from here on out.

Feels like the Market Kitchen flour price drop from $1.20 to $1 has been a special at least once a month. Market Kitchen beans/spaghetti is currently 3 for $3, so you can count on that being a future MarketClub offer.

Yup, I think you'll be right about the MarketClub deals with the Market Kitchen range. Maximum profits to be made with their home brand vs what consumers want most of all.. "Discounted groceries".
A shame, I sure am missing the excellent deals of months gone by.

          • @wowbigdeal: Yes, it looks like they can import these food products from overseas, and re-brand them, and then sell them for relatively high amounts compared to what they sell for in supermarkets like Aldi in the UK. I wanted to see them actually competing on price with the brands and products we want.

Also this $4 butter and $5 off $50 was supposed to expire at midnight on the 4th. Now it has past, it now says it is the 11th. What are they playing at.

        • Not even a single offer worth opening. Sad sad.

          • @wowbigdeal: I would definitely prefer just a couple of really good offers rather than heaps of mediocre.
Unfortunately, this seems to be all they do now.

Not quite as cheap but can still get Pams butter 500g for $4.99 from most/all? Pak'n'save stores in Auckland under their price rollback I think.

  • Ohh thanks for posting. Was worried I had missed out on stocking up before the $4 price ends but it’s still going. Will go and get some this week. Normal price is $4.90 though? Still pretty good
