Been looking for 12mm thick safety glass for a low deck, been quoted $3k for 7 pieces 1.2m long, is that about the going rate for a large company (Metro glass).
Have seen the same thickness safety glass on Trademe for $80 sq mtr supposedly conforming to NZ standards and marked accordingly. This is way cheaper, has anyone had any experiences purchasing glass?

Low as in 800mm high one end, have a 1 year old grandaughter and need to stop her from falling off.
Might seem a silly question but if you have a low deck, why do you need safety glass?
